Podcasters win this round, Broadcasting Treaty sent back to committee level.

The EFF reported the Broadcasting Treaty now appears stalled for 2007. Creating a new intellectual property right for television, cable signals, satellite, and radio broadcasting could have far reaching affects on the internet. One question which the WIPO struggled to answer, "What if someone broadcasts something from the public domain, then claims ownership of the new broadcast?"

No word on how many signatures the EFF's podcaster petition drive collected.
